Intruders
This game is compatible with the ATARI® VCS 2600™ videogame.
[1] Make sure the console is turned off (switch in the OFF position) before inserting or removing the cartridge.[2] Place the Joystick in the left connector and after inserting the cartridge, turn on the device (switch in the ON position).[3] Hold the Joystick, placing the red button in the upper left corner.[4] The Difficulty switches and the Color/B-W switch combined allow for in-game variations (see below).[5] On the opening screen, the Select switch triggers a screensaver for your Atari. If you want to turn off the music from the screensaver, use the Color/B-W switch in the B-W position.[6] To start the game, keep the Reset switch pressed (for 1 second).
Contamination alert! With the intention of conquering new worlds, aliens arrive on planet Earth and spread a mutated virus that transforms humans into beings of their race. A lone policeman takes charge of the mission and tries to find out where the invaders are multiplying in order to defeat them. Six cities have already been taken by the intruders. Each of them has 4 neighborhoods that the character will need to go through (in up to 7 minutes) collecting dynamite and a detonator to destroy the place where the enemies are hiding. Even infected with the alien virus and with his life at risk, the agent decides to wage a direct war with the beings from space. Now he doesn't know who the humans are, who the intruders are and what he himself is becoming!
Crossing the CityGoal 1You need to collect 6 pairs of dynamites and 1 detonator that are in the possession of the invaders. To collect objects, jump with the character. The policeman's health is represented by the energy bar. To restore it, shoot the spaceship flying over the city (gains 1 charge) and rescue the surviving humans (gains 4 charges) before they transform into aliens.

Reaching City HallGoal 2Free the city from the invaders. Go to the left corner of the screen and collect the dynamite (Joystick down). Take the 6 pairs of dynamites (one by one) to the City Hall and drop them at the door of the building (Joystick down). Now use the detonator to destroy the aliens' hideout. To restore the policeman's energy, shoot the alien probe (gets 3 charges) that flies over the location. If 4 parasitic aliens enter the building, Earth will be irreparably contaminated and the game will be over.Warning: After the explosion of the aliens' hideout, keep the Joystick pressed in the right position to go to the next city.

Stay tuned! On the opening screen you'll see the 6 cities you'll need to go through and the character's final destination (blinking). In Game Over, this same map will show you how many cities you managed to free from the aliens. When transporting the dynamites to the door of the City Hall, the energy bar and the policeman turn red to alert you of this condition. The alien spaceship is camouflaged in the sky in some more advanced stages, even so you can still hit it.
Crash in the alien spaceship!Whenever you hit the alien spaceship flying over the city 50 times, it crashes and you get 1,500 bonus points, plus a full recharge of your energy bar.
The OutcomeGame OverThe game will be over if the energy bar reaches zero and the policeman suffers some damage, if the time (7 minutes) runs out, during the journey, without the agent having collected the 12 dynamites and the detonator or if 4 alien parasites invade any of the 6 City Halls (a marker will indicate how many parasites have entered the hideout).
VictoryYou defeat the aliens if you reach the 6th City Hall and destroy the hideout of the last remaining invaders.
Now the fate of planet Earth and the human race rests in your hands! Win this battle against the intruders or you will end up becoming one of them.
Difficulty SwitchesLeft Switch(A) Limits the leftmost policeman on the screen, not being able to rescue the surviving humans.(B) The policeman runs without limit to the center of the screen.
Right Switch(A) Slow shot from the officer's gun.(B) Rapid fire from the officer's gun.

Add more challenge to your game! With the Color/B-W switch in the B-W position (it is necessary to be in the opening screen to change it) the policeman cannot restore his energy when he hits the spaceship and the alien probe, having to discover a new strategy to survive.
Good battle!
Tips from the local Police Department! The mutated aliens are hiding the ammo from the earthlings. It is necessary to destroy them, so that they leave behind the dynamite that you will need. They're also interested in the dynamite you carry, so keep your distance so they don't take your stash. If you're jumping, the moment you pass them on the sidewalk, the aliens can't steal anything. During the first part of the game, the parasitic aliens are infecting the city and there is no way to eliminate them, while the giant alien and the mother alien (in the City Hall) are more harmful. Watch out for the cracks in the city floor, they can open and close right under your feet. A sharp alert coming from the spaceship tells you that dynamite or a surviving human is about to appear on the scene, be prudent to fire at that moment. The diagonal shot doesn't hit the mutated aliens, the dynamites and the detonator, but it does hit the humans. You will need to constantly restore your health. The escape run (to the left) has the same speed as the enemy spaceship crossing the city. Try to synchronize your step with the ship and hit it several times. Take advantage of the terrain free of holes (only with cracks) to improve your action. Try to recharge your energy before destroying the City Hall, in order to enter the next town with better resistance. Fully recharging your energy during spaceship crash is really useful when you're playing with the switch in the B-W position (no reload) and the left difficulty switch at A (no human rescue). What is hidden inside the trash can? Free the planet from aliens and try to find out.
